Non-Competitive Performance Troupes

Perfect Pointe Performance Troupes are designed to give our students additional performance opportunities in a super flexible and low-pressure environment, while giving back to our communities with free, fun, and educational performances at events like Community Festivals, Neighborhood Days, Parades, Holiday Events, School Fairs, Elder-care facilities, and more! Dancers interested in a more rigorous, higher-commitment environment may wish to check out our Performance Companies.

Our Performance Troupes rehearse for 30 minutes a week, in addition to their normal dance technique classes.  Each troupe will learn 1 routine per session (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), so unlike school year classes or Competitive Performance Companies, students are welcome to join (or withdraw) at the start (or end) of any of those 4 sessions. Every session will have at least 1 performance opportunity, usually 2 or 3, and one social event. Although we hope all participants will be able to attend all events, we know that families have many obligations, and community events are not always able to be scheduled super far in advance, so no hard feelings if you can’t attend every single performance! Performance Troupes are designed for Maximum Flexibility and Maximum Fun!

Here at our Arlington location, our core Performance Troupes are set up as follows:

• Junior Performance Troupe - any students in 2nd to 6th* grade who are taking at least 2 technique classes (any style), along with the weekly Performance Troupe rehearsal
• Senior Performance Troupe - any students in 6th* to 12th grade who are taking at least 2 technique classes (any style), along with the weekly Performance Troupe rehearsal

*6th graders with less prior dance experience or who prefer to be leaders in a group should join Junior Performance Troupe. 6th graders with more prior dance experience should join Senior Performance Troupe.
