New School Year Tips + Yom Kippur Studio Closure

5 Easy Steps to Start Your Dance Season Off on the Right Foot

School Year dance classes started on Thursday September 9th! (Please note that the Creative Movers Session starts on Monday the 13th.) Here are 5 easy steps to start your dance season off on the right foot!

1) Familiarize yourself with studio policies, especially the Updated COVID-19 Safety Policies & Procedures.

2) Make sure you've looked at the dress code for your classes and acquired the appropriate clothing and shoes. Please be mindful that you are welcome to choose the Option A (traditionally female) or Option B (traditionally male) dress code but you must have all items from the same option (i. e. not shoes from A and attire from B.) Don’t panic if you don’t have everything perfect for the first class! We know it is a busy time of year! We sell all dress code items at the studio and are happy to help you acquire what you need; please bare with us as the first week is usually extremely busy, especially Saturday morning and weekdays 4:30-7:30, and shoes have to be sized then ordered so it may take a couple weeks to get everyone fully into dress code.

3) Write your name in all of your shoes and dance bags. Dance shoes all look alike, having your name in your shoes makes it easy to get your shoes back to you in the event of a mix-up or if they get left at the studio. Every student should have a dance bag to carry their shoes and any other necessary supplies and dance shoes should ONLY be worn in the studio or in your house to practice, never outside.

4) Arrive about 5 minutes early for your first class so you aren't rushed getting into class. If you know where you're going, you are welcome to go directly to the studio where your class is being held, no need to check-in at the desk. If you need assistance with anything, including finding your studio, just stop by the front desk and we'll be happy to help.

5) Have a great first week back to class! We are so excited to see you there. 💜💜💜
