Recital Tickets

Tickets went on sale April 28th. All seating is reserved and every student is guaranteed 3 tickets with their $35 recital fee (waived for volunteers) but seat location is not determined until you pick them up! Pick up tickets early if you want to sit near the front. Additional tickets are $5 each.

PLEASE ARRIVE IN COSTUME (with appropriate hair and make-up)
You must be at your assigned picture time even if you do not wish to purchase pictures. You are still needed for your class picture and dances will be rehearsed in costume at this time as well.
Clix (Photography studio next-door to Perfect Pointe) will be taking the photos. Order forms will be available at the desk starting May 19th.

Dress Rehearsal

Friday June 6th, 5:00pm Wakefield High School (4901 S Chesterfield Rd, Arlington, VA 22206)

All students should report to the auditorium in costume (with appropriate hair and makeup) and be ready to begin promptly at 5:00 pm. You may leave as soon as your number is over.
Parent volunteers:
- Green room volunteers should report backstage promptly at 5:00 pm and plan to stay until their respective students have completed their numbers.
- Fix-it table volunteers should report backstage promptly at 5:00 pm and plan to stay until the completion of the rehearsal (not including solos).
- Clean-up crew volunteers should report to the stage immediately after rehearsal ends (not including solos) and allocate 15-30 minutes for clean-up.

Recital

Saturday June 7th, 4:00pm Wakefield High School (4901 S Chesterfield Rd, Arlington, VA 22206)

All students performing in the first half should report to the green room in costume (with appropriate hair and makeup) no later than 3:00. All students* performing in the second half should arrive in costume (with appropriate hair and makeup) no later than 3:30. All students* will stay backstage for the entire show & may be picked up at the green room immediately following the grand finale.

*Mommy & Me students only may sit in the audience w/ parents for the half they are not in - if not in the second half they should report back to the green room no later than #29 in order to line up for the finale.
Parent volunteers:
- Green room volunteers should report directly to the green room at 3:00 (first half) or 3:30 (second half) and plan to stay until all their students have been picked up - approx. 6:15.
- Fix-it table volunteers should report backstage no later than 3:30 and plan to stay until the end of the show.
- Clean-up crew volunteers should report to the stage immediately after the show ends and allocate 15-30 minutes for clean-up.

Recital Etiquette

Due to our agreement with the professional videographer and the tripping hazards/sight issues caused by additional video cameras and tripods, there will be no videotaping allowed during the recital. You are welcome to videotape during the dress rehearsal and/or purchase the professional DVD.
Please no flash photography during the show - it is distracting and dangerous to our dancers on stage.
All dancers except Mommy & Me students must remain backstage through the entire show. Dancers may be picked up in the green room immediately following the grand finale.
We encourage all audience members to stay for the entire show to support all the dancers and see all the great things happening here at Perfect Pointe with all our classes.
Anyone needing to go in and out of the auditorium at any time while the show is in progress is asked to please wait until in between numbers whenever possible so that the noise and light from the doors does not distract the dancers on stage.
Thunderous applause to encourage all our wonderful dancers is welcomed and encouraged but calling out names or any other yelling/vocal cheering is not appropriate in a performing arts setting.

Other Important Dates & Information

May 27-31: Last full week of classes - please make an extra effort to be in class & on time.
May 30: Organizational meeting for all Green Room volunteers (rehearsal & recital) 7:00-7:30 pm at Perfect Pointe Dance Studio.
Professional Recital DVDs can be ordered at the front desk for $18 each.
Recital t-shirts will be on sale at the studio starting May 27th and also available at the recital.
