This month's theme is "Happy Healthy Dancers." Check out our displays in both lobbies for more details and some free healthy snacks!

Also in honor of Happy Healthy Dancers month and healthful New Year resolutions everywhere- we invite you to try one of our great Stretch & Strengthening classes free of charge anytime in January! Thursdays at 8:30pm w/ Miss Erica or Fridays at 9:30am w/ Miss Katie.  Hope to see you there!

New Spring Session classes now forming!!! Have a friend or sibling who didn't quite make it into our school year session? - We are starting a few new Mommy & Me, Pre-School and Dance Combo classes for a shorter, non-recital, February-May session. Act fast, spaces are limited! Adults and teens are still welcome to join our Stretch & Strengthening classes at any time.

It's NOT TOO LATE to pre-order RECITAL T-SHIRTS and DVDs for Recital 2012!
We've extended the discounted pricing as our New Year's gift to you!

12/15/2011 - Welcome to Family and Friends Watch Week
*Mommy & Me, Pre-School, and Dance Combo Age 5 & 6 families and friends are invited in to dance and play with us for the whole class this week.
*All other classes' families and friends are invited in for a presentation during the last 15 minutes of class.
All students may wear holiday colors and accessories. Pre-School Combo, Dance Combo Age 5&6 and Dance Combo Age 6&7 students are especially encouraged to wear party clothes as costuming for their Nutcracker dance!

Reminders:
This is the last week to pre-order recital T-shirts and DVDs at the discounted rate as well as the last week to pay for recital costumes if you are going to be in the June recital.

11/28/2011 - Parents, would you like an evening for dinner with your spouse or last-minute holiday shopping?

The Perfect Pointe Competition Companies are running a "Parent's Night Out" fundraiser on Friday December 9th, from 6:30pm - 9:00pm in Studio A.  While you enjoy your evening out, your kids will be entertained with dance games, arts & crafts, pizza and a movie.

$35 for 1st child, $30 for siblings, for potty-trained 3 yr olds - 11 yr olds. Sign up at the desk!

Recital Meetings

Mandatory in-class recital meetings begin this Monday the 14th and run through Saturday the 19th. Parents of ALL students, including teens, should plan to join us for the last 15 minutes of class to discuss recital plans and requirements. Recital music and costumes will also be announced at this time. If you can't make the meeting please let us know ahead of time so we can get you the information.

Thanksgiving Break

We will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from Tuesday Nov. 22 through Saturday the 26th. Happy Turkey Day! :)

10/22/2011 - It's Fall Festival at Perfect Pointe - Students are invited to wear their Halloween costume to class (nothing too scary or movement prohibitive please) and we will have special games & music. Parents are invited in for the last 5 minutes of class.

• Annual Costume Sale – It’s not too late! Buy new and used costumes from Perfect Pointe and get ready for Fall Festival and Trick or Treating.
• Final week for Refer a Friend -Receive a $20 studio account credit if a friend mentions your name when enrolling for a class.

10/15/2011 - Mark your calendars - next week (10/24 through 10/29) will be our annual Fall Festival at Perfect Pointe - Students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to class (with appropriate dance shoes and nothing too scary or movement prohibitive please) and we will have lots of fun games and seasonal music in class - don't miss the fun!

October is Refer A Friend Month!

If a friend (new students only) mentions your name when enrolling for a class their registration fee is waived and you receive a $20.00 studio account credit to use anyway you wish!

To kick off Refer A Friend Month - Next week 10/3 - 10/08 is Bring A Friend Week! Please check the listing here or posted at the studio as some classes are already too full to participate - the class room would become overly crowded.  Mommy & Me, Pre-School, Dance Combo 5 & 6, and Dance Combo 6 & 7 classes that are too full are invited to bring a stuffed animal or doll friend instead.  Older classes that are full will have special in-class activities instead.

Don't Forget - October tuition for monthly payment plans is due at the first class of the month! Late fees will be charged beginning on the 8th.  Don't want to worry about remembering every month? - You can always put a debit or credit card on file at the desk to be automatically charged or set up auto-pay through your bank!

Remember, monthly tuition is due at the 1st class of each month and late fees will be charged. If you'd like to put a credit or debit card on file so you don't have to remember, please see us at the desk.

National Dance Week

• National Dance Week is April 22nd - May 1st!
• Look for special events all over the greater DC area - handouts available at the desk.
• Free informal dance demonstration and open class here in Studio B, Friday April 29th, 6:15-7:00pm - Hope to see you there!
  

Recital tickets go on sale Monday May 2nd - Only two weeks away!

• Tickets go on sale Mon. May 2nd at 8:45am.
• All tickets are reserved seating and are available on a first come, first served basis.
• You must select and purchase your tickets in person or have someone else pick them up for you – we cannot take phone or email orders and will not hold tickets for anyone.
• Everyone gets 2 free tickets per child, per recital they are in. Please note that these tickets are free but you still must come pick out your seats.
• Up to 3 additional tickets per family can be purchased on May 2nd for $7 each. Extra tickets will be available beginning on May 16th.
• Mommy & Me moms who will remain backstage with their students will not need tickets, backstage/greenroom volunteers for the day of the recital will not need tickets.
• If anyone in your group will need handicapped seating accommodations, please call or stop by the desk before Monday May 2nd.

2/19/2011 - PROPER DANCE SHOES:

As the recital approaches we want to be sure that all students have the proper shoes for their performance. The following is a list of the classes and the type of shoes they need for the recital, as per our dress code:

• Mommy and Me - Black patent leather (shiny) tap shoes
• Pre-School Combo - Pink leather ballet slippers
• Dance Combo Age 5 & 6 - Black leather (not shiny) Mary Jane or U-shell buckle tap shoes
  
• Dance Combo Age 6 & 7 -  Black leather ballet slippers and black leather (not shiny) Mary Jane or U-shell buckle tap shoes
• Dance Combo 7.5+ - Black jazz shoes and black leather (not shiny) Mary Jane or U-shell buckle tap shoes

If you would like to order shoes through us, just stop by the desk before or after class to be sized. Or you can check our free shoe exchange!

We are offering a new Stretch and Strengthening class on Wednesday mornings from 9:30am to 10:30am. You may sign up for the whole session or choose the drop-in option and just come when you can. First class is FREE!

The Perfect Pointe Competition Companies are running a "Parent's Night Out" fundraiser on Friday December 10th, from 6:30pm - 9:00pm in Studio A.  While you enjoy your evening out, your kids will be entertained with dance games, arts & crafts, pizza and a movie.

$35 for 1st child, $30 for siblings, for potty-trained 3 yr olds - 11 yr olds.

Reminder: The studio will be closed from Tuesday November 23rd - Saturday November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Recital Meetings

Mandatory in-class recital meetings begin this Tuesday the 16th through Monday the 22nd. Parents of ALL students, including teens, should plan to join us for the last 15 minutes of class to discuss recital plans and requirements. Recital music and costumes will also be announced at this time! If you can't make the meeting please let us know ahead of time so we can get you the information.

Our staff will be traveling to Dance Master's of America's Teacher Training School in Buffalo, NY. They will be working with other fabulous dance professionals to bring back the latest and greatest teaching techniques and choreography for all our wonderful students!

With December upon us, make sure you know our weather cancellation policy. We follow Arlington County school closings for delays, all day closings, and cancellation of after school/Saturday activities. If schools are closed for the day but road conditions clear by the afternoon, we may still hold afternoon and evening classes. All closings with details will be posted on the homepage of our website and also on the voicemail so call or check the website if there is any doubt.

Perfect Pointe will be closed from Tuesday June 9th through Sunday June 14th and have shortened hours Monday June 15th through Friday June 19th.

• You can also participate in Perfect Pointe's National Dance Week coloring contest for ages 2-4 and 5-7 or the research project for ages 8+.

Summer camps and classes are filling fast - Reserve your spot today if you have not already done so before space runs out! We have also added another Ballerina Princess Camp the week of 08/10 to 08/14!

We still need lots of volunteers for recital week! You can help out by being a:

Recital Happenings
- If you have not already picked up your costume, you will get it at class this week.
- Check the list available here or at the studio desk to make sure your/your student's name is the way you would like it to appear on the recital t-shirt/program/video credits.
- Parents can sign-up this week to help backstage during dress rehearsal and recital.  Details will be given during you child's class this week.

1/2/2009 - Welcome Back and Happy 2009!

Please take a moment to review our inclement weather class cancellation policy:

• If Arlington County schools have a delayed start, all Perfect Pointe classes starting before 11am will be canceled.
• If Arlington County schools close early or cancel after school activities, Perfect Pointe classes starting after the time of the school closing will be canceled. Saturday classes follow Arlington County schools cancellation of Saturday activities.
• If Arlington County schools close for a full day, all Perfect Pointe daytime classes will be canceled - classes starting 3pm or later may be held if the weather clears, check the website or call the studio to confirm.
• Make-ups may be scheduled in a similar class for any classes canceled due to inclement weather.  Refunds will not be given.

12/15/2008 - Welcome to Family Watch Week

• Mommy & Me, Pre-School, and Kinderdance families are invited in to dance and play with us for the whole class this week.
• Level I and up families will be invited in for the last 15 minutes to see what we've been working on.
