CONGRATULATIONS!

  • Priority registration for Summer Classes starts Monday, February 22nd and will run through Saturday, March 6th. Register early to get first pick of your favorite classes and times. As always current students pay no registration fee. Also, discounts are available for multiple classes.

1/18/2010 - There are no classes this week Monday or Tuesday in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

1/11/2010 - Reminders: 
We are closed Monday Jan. 18th and Tuesday Jan 19th in celebration of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

For classes (Monday, Tuesday before 4:00PM and Saturday) who missed their Family Watch Week due to snow, they are rescheduled for this Mon. (Jan 11th), Tue. (Jan 12th) and Sat. (Jan 16th). However, Pre-School and Kinderdance I families who were originally planned to join the whole class will be asked to join the last 15 minutes of class as we still need to keep on track for our recital choreography.

12/10/2009 - Friends and Family Watch week is only 1 week away! December 17th through 23rd.

Mommy and Me, Pre-School Combo, and Kinderdance Combo Level 1 families are invited in to dance and play with us for the whole class.
All other classes' families are invited in for a presentation during the last 15 minutes of class.
All dancers are welcome to wear Holiday colors.

Costume Payments

11/30/2009 - Don't forget. Costume payments for our fabulous recital costumes are due this week!

With December upon us, make sure you know our weather cancellation policy. We follow Arlington County school closings for delays, all day closings, and cancellation of after school/Saturday activities. If schools are closed for the day but road conditions clear by the afternoon, we may still hold afternoon and evening classes. All closings with details will be posted on the homepage of our website and also on the voicemail so call or check the website if there is any doubt.

In Class Recital Meetings and Thanksgiving Break

Fall Festival!

10/26/2009 - This week is Fall Festival at Perfect Pointe.  Students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to class (nothing too scary or movement prohibitive please) and we will have some special seasonal games, music and activities in class.  Happy Halloween!

  • Perfect Pointe's first annual Costume Sale starts Oct. 17th - donate your old unwanted dance and Halloween costumes and plan to shop with us this year!  All proceeds benefit the competition companies.

Bring A Friend Week

9/27/2009 - October is Refer A Friend Month at Perfect Pointe! All through the month of October, if a friend (new students only) mentions your name when enrolling for a class, they receive a free registration fee and you receive a $20 studio account credit to use any way you wish! Start spreading the word!

To kick off Refer A Friend Month - Next week, 10/5 - 10/10 is Bring A Friend Week! Please check the listing here or posted at the studio for your student's class as NOT ALL CLASSES WILL BE ALLOWED TO BRING FRIENDS due to class size constraints. Mommy & Me, Pre-School and Kinderdance classes that are too full are invited to bring a stuffed animal or doll friend instead.  Older classes that are full will have special in-class activities instead.

First Annual Costume Sale: Have old or unwanted dance costumes or Halloween costumes that need a good home? Donate them to Perfect Pointe's Competition Company to help them earn money towards performance expenses! All donations, along with company members' and studio contributions will be on sale in the lobby beginning 10/17.  Help out the company students, get a great costume at a great price, and be green, by buying a recycled costume at Perfect Pointe this year!

First Week of Classes!

9/13/2009 - Welcome Back Everyone! We're looking forward to the start of another great year at Perfect Pointe!

All students and parents should report to the main lobby at Studio A this week and make sure to check in at the desk.

2009/2010 Calendar Now Available

8/23/2009 - Perfect Pointe's 2009/2010 School Year Calendar is now available - click on the Upcoming Events tab to the left to view.

We are closed for classes August 23rd through September 13th and will re-open for Fall classes beginning September 14th.  During this break we will be checking phone messages and e-mail and have some limited office hours so please feel free to contact us with any questions, class registrations, etc. We will be taking appointments for shoe sizing and class placements during this time as well, the sooner the better!

They will be working with other fabulous dance professionals to bring back the latest and greatest teaching techniques and choreography for all our wonderful students!

6/7/2009 - Congratulations everyone on a great recital!

CORRECTION: Pictures & DVDs will be available for pick-up at the studio beginning June 26th.

Perfect Pointe will be closed from Tuesday June 9th through Sunday June 14th and have shortened hours Monday June 15th through Friday June 19th. 

Don't forget - Summer classes begin Friday June 19th and camps begin on the 22nd.  Hope to see you there!

Extra Recital Tickets Now On Sale

5/18/2009 - * Remaining recital tickets are now available. Get them while they last! Please check with the desk if you would like to purchase more.

* REMINDER!! We are closed on Monday May 25th for Memorial Day but we will have classes on Saturday May 23rd.

* Please make an extra effort to be in class and on time for the remaining classes as we finish preparations for the recital. And let us know if you have any questions about your picture day, dress rehearsal or the BIG SHOW!

Recital Tickets on Sale Now!

5/4/2009 - Recital Tickets are on sale now and going quickly - if you have not picked yours up yet, please stop by the studio as soon as possible to ensure the best seats!

The schedule for picture days, June 1st-3rd, has been finalized.  Please check the recital information link here on the website or the display at the studio to find your scheduled picture time. Remember that this is your last class and dances will be rehearsed in addition to pictures being taken - don't miss it!

National Dance Week

4/25/2009 - This week is National Dance Week!
  • Take advantage of some of the great FREE performances and workshops all around the DC area this week - info at the desk.
  • You can also participate in Perfect Pointe's National Dance Week coloring contest for ages 2-4 and 5-7 or the research project for ages 8+.
Summer camps and classes are filling fast - Reserve your spot today if you have not already done so before space runs out! We have also added another Ballerina Princess Camp the week of 08/10 to 08/14!

We still need lots of volunteers for recital week! You can help out by being a:

This week is National Dance Week!
- Check out our coloring contest for ages 2-7 and our word search/dance research project for ages 8+.
- Also check out this list of free or inexpensive area dance performances for all ages!

Recital Happenings
- If you have not already picked up your costume, you will get it at class this week.
- Check the list available here or at the studio desk to make sure your/your student's name is the way you would like it to appear on the recital t-shirt/program/video credits.
- Parents can sign-up this week to help backstage during dress rehearsal and recital.  Details will be given during you child's class this week.

New Classes Forming

  • Awesome new classes including Musical Theater Dance, Hip Hop, teen/adult beginner classes, and our usual line-up of children's and other technique classes are forming NOW that will run from mid Feb. through May in addition to our usual classes.  This is a great opportunity to try something new, add another class to your weekly training, or tell a friend who's been looking to join.

1/2/2009 - Welcome Back and Happy 2009!

Please take a moment to review our inclement weather class cancellation policy:
  • If Arlington County schools have a delayed start, all Perfect Pointe classes starting before 11am will be canceled.
  • If Arlington County schools close early or cancel after school activities, Perfect Pointe classes starting after the time of the school closing will be canceled. Saturday classes follow Arlington County schools cancellation of Saturday activities.
  • If Arlington County schools close for a full day, all Perfect Pointe daytime classes will be canceled - classes starting 3pm or later may be held if the weather clears, check the website or call the studio to confirm.
  • Make-ups may be scheduled in a similar class for any classes canceled due to inclement weather.  Refunds will not be given.
